- Brown Sugar - 1/8 cup
- Spring Onion - 1 tablespoon (chopped)
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon (grated)
- Sesame Seeds - 1 teaspoon (toasted)
- Chilli Flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Japanese Bread Crumbs - 3/4 cup
- Apple - 1 piece (grated)
- Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - 1/4 cup
- Eggs - 2 pieces
- ARLA Gouda Cheese - 50 grams (for burger steak)
- ARLA Havarti Cheese - 1/3 slice (for burger sandwich)
- Burger Steak
- Soy Sauce - 1/3 cup
- Apple Juice - 1/2 cup
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon (grated)
- Garlic - 3 cloves (grated)
- Brown Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Sesame Seeds - 1/2 tablespoon
- Spring Onion - 1/2 tablespoon (chopped)
- Chili Flakes - 1/2 tablespoon
- Sesame Oil - 1/2 tablespoon
- Corn Starch - 1 teaspoon
- ARLA Butter - 1/2 tablespoon
- White Onion - 1/3 cup (sliced)
- Carrots - 1/8 cup (diced)
- Shimeji Mushrooms - 1/8 cup
- Broccoli - 1/8 cup
- Mirin - 1/2 tablespoon
- ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese - 75 grams
- ARLA Gouda Cheese - 25 grams
- Cooked Rice - As preferred
- Kimchi - As preferred
- Burger Sandwich
- Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
- Gochujang - 1/2 tablespoon
- ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese - 75 grams
- ARLA Havarti Cheese - 2/3 slice
- Lettuce
- Carrots (grated)
- Hamburger Bun
Procedure
- Bulgogi Burger Patty
- Mix all burger patty ingredients in a bowl.
- Take two portions of 100 grams-per-piece of your patty mix for your bulgogi burger steak.
- Insert 50 grams of ARLA Gouda Cheese inside of each portioned 100-gram bulgogi burger steak patty.
- Take one portion of 200 grams-per-piece of your patty mix for your bulgogi burger sandwich.
- Insert 1/3 slice of ARLA Havarti Cheese inside the 200-gram bulgogi burger steak patty.
- Form each portion into a burger patty and place in a container with cover.
- Put the patties in a chiller for overnight or for at least 4 hours.
- Preheat your griddle or pan with a bit of oil.
- Pan fry the burger patties for about 5-6 minutes per side.
- Burger Steak (assembly)
- Place your cooked bulgogi burger patties on your plate.
- Side with steamed rice and kimchi.
- Burger Steak (sauce)
- Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Add in the cornstarch with a bit of water.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Once a thick texture is achieved, pour on top of your previously cooked bulgogi burger steak.
- Burger Steak (cheese)
- In a non-stick pan, place 75 grams of ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese and 25 grams of ARLA Gouda Cheese.
- Heat and stir to combine the cheese.
- Once slightly melted, immediately pour it on top of the cooked bulgogi burger steak.
- Burger Steak (topping)
- In a pan, caramelise the onion with ARLA Butter.
- Saute the carrots and shimeji mushrooms for a few minutes.
- Add mirin, broccoli, a saute for about a minute.
- Place the vegetables on your plate, topping your melted cheese.
- Burger Sandwich
- Combine gochujang and mayonnaise in a container.
- Spread your combined gochujang and mayonnaise inside the hamburger bun.
- In a non-stick pan, place 75 grams of ARLA PRO Mozzarella Cheese and top with 2/3 slice of ARLA Havarti Cheese.
- Heat and stir to combine the cheese.
- Once the cheese are slightly melted, immediately pour it on top of the cooked bulgogi burger patty.
- Add lettuce and shredded carrots on top of the cheese.
- Finish by placing the top hamburger bun on top of your bulgogi burger patty.
